Explore Your Library Contest

Contest is run in Peace Library System Member Public Libraries (list: http://www.peacelibrarysystem.ab.ca/member-public-libraries).To qualify, entrants must submit their name, email address, and phone number using the contest form provided after completing the four ‘Explore’ tasks. Entrants must submit their entry forms to a Peace Library System library, and that library will forward entries to the Peace Library System office located in Grande Prairie, Alberta. One entry per person is allowed. Employees and trustees of Peace Library System and its member libraries are not eligible to participate.

Entrants must be aged 13 or over and reside in the province of Alberta. Two winners will be chosen randomly, one in the age category 13 - 17, and one in the age category 18+. Each winner will receive one $250 gift card of their choice from this list: Apple Store, App Store & iTunes, Google Play, Best Buy, Sephora, Homesense/Winners/Marshalls, Amazon, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, or Canadian Tire.

Gift Cards will be delivered in person at the winner’s closest Peace Library System public library, at which time a photo will be taken of the presentation and the winner for use in promotional activities. Entrants acknowledge that Peace Library System and any approved third party contractors may use winner’s name and/or likeness in perpretuity on Facebook, Twitter, related Website, or marketing materials without compensation to the winner.

There is no cost associated with entering the contest and no purchase is necessary. Correctly answering the skill testing question found on the entry form is required to be eligible for the draw. 

Contest submissions will take place from September 4, 2018 at 12:00 pm to Monday, October 29, 2018 at 12:00 pm. The draw date will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018. The prize has no cash value and no substitutions will be allowed. The prize must be taken as awarded. Winners will be determined by a random draw to be executed by Peace Library System and their subsidiaries. The winners will be notified via telephone and email. Once the winners are determined, the decision is final.

By entering the contest, entrants agree that Peace Library System and any approved third party contractors are not responsible for any loss, injury, cancellations, or any related circumstances. Under no circumstance will Peace Library System and any approved third-party contractors be liable to the participant for any claim for damages of any kind, direct or indirect, special, incidental, consequential, punitive or tort damages (including negligence), whether resulting from loss of use, delay of delivery, loss of data, loss of anticipated profits, loss of business, non-operation or increased expense of operation, breach of contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. The entrant agrees to indemnify and hold Peace Library System and any approved third party contractors harmless from any and all claims brought by any third party relating to any aspect of the contest, including, but without limitation, any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including attorney’s fees, arising out of injury caused by the entrant’s participation in the contest, material supplied by entrant, and copyright infringement.

There is one entry per entrant allowed. The entrant assumes the total responsibility of knowing their local laws in regard contests and are subject to any local, provincial, national or international laws. Peace Library System and any approved third party contractors accept no responsibility for making these individual legal determinations. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries.
